Part Three, Body!

Threat.

My composition is base in the moment that the earthquake happen and how everything what shaking, moving and going out of place making a mess, disorder, chaos, Chaotic systems consequently appear in disordered and random,
reflecting the catastrophe that happen in Japan.
When we discussed earthquake intensity we discussed some of the basic factors that affect the amplitude and duration of shaking produced by an earthquake and the shaking caused by seismic waves can cause damage buildings or cause buildings to collapse. The level of damage done to a structure depends on the amplitude and the duration of shaking.
The fonts that I’m using are Code bold and chalkduster, the first one has a lightly movement that can be related to the quake moment and after shake effect, the second one, chalkduster I will use it to describe the chaos, alternating capital and lower cases letter to transmit the mess and disorder that Japan faces at the moment of the quake.

Threat!

Definition:
  • menace: something that is a source of danger; "earthquakes are a constant threat in Japan"
  • a warning that something unpleasant is imminent; "they were under threat of arrest"
  • declaration of an intention or a determination to inflict harm on another; "his threat to kill me was quite explicit"
  • terror: a person who inspires fear or dread; "he was the terror of the neighborhood"

More ABC..

This time I went to the art walk to downtown L.A and the letters just came to me.

Around L.A streets I spy a r, M, F, Z and m.

and the game keep going with a V, A, b, w, y, i, s and p.

Bad Use of Typo in an Ad.

The idea of duality played in this ad is interesting. They are comparing what the product can do with the slogan, but I think they could use  better characters to describe the fun part of the messange. Is hard to undestand, not all the letters are clear. Maybe if they complete a words with the same font insted to mix them, people will have a better or faster undestanting of the slogan.

Good Use of Typo in an Ad.

In a creative way Ferrarelle is branding its products and company at the same time. They are using the same color and typography in the name of the business  as well as the shoes and laces. It's effective and simple. Although the ad is in other language the basic idea in understandable, running shoes, the typography that they choose give a sophisticated  touch to the ad.
